Is it all right to breed my pet during her first heat? It's not a good idea unless her first heat occurs after she's one year old, OR mature. Maturity will vary with size of breed. Toy breeds mature in 6 to 8 months. Medium breeds mature in 12 to 14 months. Large or giant breeds mature in 18 to 24 months. |
